The 2010–11 VMI Keydets Hockey season was the team's fifth season overall. With an 0-10 regular season record, the Keydets failed to make the playoffs, placing last in the entire division.

VMI opened the season against NVCC and William and Mary, both defeats by 6 goals. They beat Johnson and Wales in an exhibition game on October 15, 7–1. Following that, they were beaten heavily by Liberty, and later swept by both Roanoke and Radford. The Keydets fell in the Military Classic in early December, their first loss in the Classic. In the new year, VMI played verse Liberty, a 5–2 loss, followed by another 5–2 loss to George Mason in February. The next day on the 5th, they were given their worst defeat of the year, a 13–1 beating from James Madison.

Conference Stadings[]

At the end of the regular season, VMI placed last in the conference behind Liberty, Radford, and Roanoke, with no points. It was the first time the team had a winless year. Liberty and Radford were the playoff representatives for the Southwest Conference.
